Notable Guest Dock Visitors in September

Our modest yacht club was dwarfed by a 70ft behemoth of a motorboat, helmed from Seattle to St. Petersburg, Florida, by a nice couple, who I am not sure ever actually entered the club, and their crew, who sported headsets. From now on, I think we should all have crew with headsets; it looks very cool.

After they had left, our dear friends from Ebony Boat Club near Stockton docked with four boats, each one bigger than the next. Since your Port Captain hadn't inquired about lengths, they ended up moored Mediterranean-style, with fellow member Timo trapped on the inside. From now on, I think we should also moor Mediterranean style as it looks very cool, and it's probably quite easy, especially if you have crew with headsets.

Last, but not least, a couple of Canadians rolled into town in a lovely 33ft Westerly Discus named 'Sea Dream of Clyde' as it was built in Britain and sailed for many years on the Clyde. They sailed all the way down here from somewhere in Canada, and intend to circle the Pacific, which sounds like a great idea. You can follow them on Instagram as @sea_dream_of_clyde and YouTube under @sailingseadreamofclyde.
