This year's International Coastal Cleanup Event is taking place on Saturday, September 20th from 9:00am to Noon. Berkeley Yacht Club has been an active participant in the Shoreline Cleanup and we need your support to continue this important work. This is an excellent way to protect our Bay by having BYC volunteers participate in the cleanup along the Berkeley Marina's rocky coastline. If you can volunteer to help please contact Betty Gray at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Join in for the 2nd Annual Tri-island Pursuit Race Series. Plan on three days of low key fun racing. Each day circumnavigate a different island in the Bay. Each day to be followed by the usual libations and linner. All that and trophies, too! See the race page for details.
The Berkeley Yacht Club recognizes and honors its long time members at the annual "Old Salts" dinner. At 25 years of membership, a member is deemed an "Old Salt", and the member is our guest for the dinner and receives "the gold watch" of BYC, a special burgee and name tag. Subsequently, members are again recognized for continued membership in five year increments. They have wonderful stories to share. We are planning a wonderful dinner so make your reservations by May 14th. Don't miss this very special evening.
Friday night racing has started up for the season at BYC, and almost magically, summer winds have kicked in for the first races.
Known traditionally as Beercan Races, these are a great way to get familiar with racing sailboats on San Francisco Bay, and to put the work-week behind you. The barbecue after the race is a time to compare experiences on the water, or off.
See the Friday Night Racing page for details.
