In case you were wondering, the first member dinner of 2019 is this Saturday, January 19th. It promises to be both intellectually stimulating and joyous on the palette. A veritable symphony of savory and sweet that will leave you wondering what the heck we could possible do in February. Our presenter will be Mr. Paul Kamen who will enthrall you with stories of his Pac cup 2018 experience that included the three week trip back in a leaky but damn good looking boat.

December Midwinter Races Report The rains held off for the 2nd edition of the BYC 2018-2019 Midwinter races held on December 8 & 9. Some details: Saturday, December 8: 43 yachts divided into 5 divisions showed up to enjoy the 7-10k winds from ENE. This direction, along with the strong ebb, produced great flat water sailing in the winter sun. We were able to start on time (12:00) and we sent the gang on a double windward/leeward course. Even with the light wind, all were able to complete the course within an average of 1 ½ hours.
Ahoy Berkeley Yacht Club!
We will be participating in a holiday toy drive for needy children this season. A box for new unwrapped children's gifts has been conveniently placed in the central lounge space of the club for your convenience. We would like to have an OVERFLOWING box to donate by December 18th. You might consider bringing a gift as early as this Friday! We would appreciate YOUR help as well!
