Berkeley Yacht Club Commodore, Board of Directors and Members:
On behalf of the Nominating Committee, please find the proposed slate of candidates for the 2020 BYC Board of Directors. We would like to thank all of the 2019 board members for the considerable amount of work and their contribution to the club.
The Nominating Committee submits the following slate for consideration by the membership:

We will introduce these candidates at the dinner meeting on October 19th. Election ballots will be sent out in early November. Please note that according to the BYC bylaws, every member has the right to nominate other candidates or self for specific positions before the October 19th meeting.

According to our by-laws the Nominating Committee has some dates to meet and if you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else here are the dates. October 7, 2019 Post Slate of Candidates for the Board of Directors in Clubhouse and on BYC website. (Article VI Section 2) October 19, 2019 Deadline for additional nominations. Voting member may nominate other candidates or self for specific positions. Nominating member shall provide in writing the name/s of each nominated candidate to the Commodore Mark Bird (email@example.com) and Secretary Alan Poropat (firstname.lastname@example.org ). Said written nomination maybe provided by any means, including email and fax, but must be received no later than the October corporation meeting. If the voting member nominates someone other than themselves, the Secretary shall, prior to the finalization of the ballot, confirm that the person nominated in fact desire to run for the office. (Article VI Section 4) November 1, 2019 Ballots must be sent to members 15 days prior to the election meeting by email (where permitted) or mail. (Article VI Section 5) November 16, 2019 Election meeting, voting deadline is set before the meeting (6:00 pm or 1800 hours) so attending members can still submit their ballots. All ballots, in order to be counted, must be received by the Corporation prior to the deadline for voting as set forth on the ballot or on the accompanying information sent with the ballot.
