All the invitations have been sent for the 80th anniversary and old salts dinner on Saturday, May 18th. This will be a fabulous dinner prepared by 2016 member Christopher Harding. The dinner will graciously be served by our 2019 Flag Officers and Board of Directors. The menu will include: Starter – Beef Tartare toast; Salad – Roasted beets with arugula and walnut pesto; Main Choice of Either: Fish – Seared U-10 Scallops with beans, faro and Pecorino, Salami Salad and English pea, pickled carrot Salsa Verde or Zunni-Style Roasted Chicken with roasted bread salad, golden raisins and frilly mustard greens; and Dessert – Nutella Mouse. 1800 No-Host Cocktails 1900 Dinner. We will honor some of our long-time members for their many contributions to Berkeley Yacht Club. This club has been and will continue to be built by members for members with a common purpose (a) to foster, encourage and further the sport of yachting; (b) to promote and manage an Annual Berkeley Regatta; (c) to acquire and maintain a suitable clubhouse; (d) to sponsor the teaching of the science of navigation and the art of handling and sailing yachts and other vessels; and (e) to promote the social interests and pleasures of its members.
