Our Presenter will be Ocean Advocate Stiv Wilson presenting on "The Story of Stuff" and plastics in our oceans". Stiv had been researching on and active against plastic pollution of our watersheds and oceans for more than ten years. He'll talk about sailing expeditions to the so called "ocean garbage patches" logging over 35,000 miles aboard a 72 ft Challenge Yacht, Sea Dragon. Most notably, Stiv built the policy to ban microbeads from personal care products federally which has lead to a world wide phase out. He will talk about the movement "Break Free from Plastic" a multinational strategy which is now a thousand NGO's strong. This promises to be an engaging and informative presentation.
