This event held annually at Encinal Yacht Club and provides veterans, many confined to wheelchairs (US Coast Guard & the Alameda/Oakland Fire Depts. do all the lifting of the Vets in chairs on & off the boats), with the rare opportunity to experience a boat cruise on the Oakland Estuary &San Francisco Bay along the San Francisco City front (Boat Skippers determine their own route).

Next week the annual shoreline cleanup day takes place. To get this done, we're recruiting new and old members and leaders for the BYC Stewardship Committee. Please know that under the leadership of our own beloved member and marine biologist Carol Keiper through the years, this event has been a huge success and an incredible community builder of new relationships throughout the marina. We now NEED YOU to help us continue this tradition.
